2005
Restoration/Renovation Baker Residence
Interior renovation to a beautifully restored frame farm
house previously renovated by famed Washington architect Hugh
Jacobson. Modification of existing porch into a glass enclosed
office space.

Spring Farm - Private Residence Frank Property
This is a major
restoration of historic farm, including a stone
manor house and variety unique stone outbuildings is
be used as a residence for Tom and Lois frank and
their four children. This property is on the
Baltimore County Historic Registry. The project
scope includes complete interior and exterior
renovations manor house and upgrades to all
infrastructure. This design build project includes
all architectural work, engineering, and the
following repairs: stone foundation, demolish all
non historic interior and exterior alterations,
repair and replace rotted wooden structural members,
install all new plumbing, electric,
air-conditioning, basement slabs, insulation and new
standing seam lead coated copper roofing, downspouts
and gutters. Repair and replacement of windows,
doors, repair, plaster work, woodwork, trim,
installation of new heart pine floors and
refinishing old floors. The project also included a
new 1,000 sq. ft. historically compatible addition.
Major structural work includes: the complete
rebuilding of a 15’ high stone retaining wall at the
bank barn, and the creation of a 24’ wide opening,
supported by metal “I” beams place in the existing
outside stone wall of the house, which created an
entrance to the new addition.

2004- 1031 East Monument Street-
“Harbor House” Is
a faith based initiative that will provide a 15 bed
“safe haven” for Baltimore youths. This is a major
restoration of an abandoned and badly deteriorated
brick parsonage building. This design build project
includes all architectural work, engineering, and
the following repairs: interior and exterior
renovations and repair work in accordance with local
historic regulations, CHAP, COMAR regulations, and
Baltimore City. Scope of work included: complete
interior demolition, excavate for basement concrete
slab floor, sprinkler system, security system,
walls, flooring, two sets of spiral stairs leading
to sleeping lofts, alarm system, repair and replace
rotted wooden structural members, install all new:
plumbing, electric, HVAC, insulation, drywall
painting carpeting tile, appliances fixtures…

2003 – 2004. Private Residence
Owners: Mary and Howard Toy
Major restoration of
historic stone and log buildings to be used as a
residence. This project included a new historically
compatible addition with terraced stone retaining
walls creating a walled in garden. Complete interior
and exterior renovations and repair work to meet the
Secretary of the Interior Standards for Historic
Buildings in preparation for State Tax credits. This
building is on the National Registry. Scope of work
included: repair stone foundation, demolish all non
historic interior and exterior alterations, repair
and replace rotted wooden structural members,
install all new: plumbing, electric, geothermal
heating and cooling, radiant slab heat, insulation
and standing seam metal roofs. Replace windows,
doors, repair, plaster work, woodwork, trim,
installation of new and refinishing old floors.

2003 Private Residence - Raver
Farm
Major renovation of
classic Carroll County Bank Barn, into a
residence. This barn, which is owned by Anne
Raver a writer for the N. Y. Times, is an excellent
example of a sensitive renovation. “Green building”
standards with high tech materials and techniques,
were joined together with old world craftsmanship in
harmony.. The owners concern for the environment and
ecology are reflected in the materials and systems
and are woven together in a playful So Ho
industrial, energy efficient, Japanese, passive
solar home. The work included, repair and replace
rotted wooden structural members, install all new:
plumbing, electric, HVAC, radiant slab heat,
insulation and roof repairs. Repair and replace
windows, doors, woodwork, trim, installation of
lover sunshades, and refinishing floors.

Private Residence - 11 Roland Mews, Cross Keys
Major renovation of a modern townhouse
at the Cross Keys Complex, Baltimore City. This
extensive renovation included the installation of a
three story elevator, all new electric, plumbing,
sheetrock, paint, etc. The most significant portion
of the job a large volume of the custom made
cabinetry and woodwork, for new kitchen, bathrooms,
office, custom closets, entertainment centers, etc.

2002
Major restoration of the Benjamin Latrobe Spring
House, this elaborate spring house which is
owned by the Baltimore Museum of Art and is
located on the west side of the museum in their
formal garden area. Scope of work included, all new
wood shingle roofing, rafter repairs, lead copper
flashing, stone masonry, stucco, restoration
woodwork, reproduction architectural fabrications,
metalwork, lead paint removal, plaster, and
painting.

Consultant for Ellicott City Colored School Wrote all specifications, designed interior and exterior
renovations and repair work to meet the Secretary of the Interior
Standards for Historic Buildings and Howard County Department of
Building Permits in preparation for Howard County bid documents.

restoration Huntingdon Farm Wrote all specifications, contract documents, executed all work
on the restoration and renovation of this circa 1870 brick farm
house. Acted as General Contractor, and Project Manager for all
trades on this building project. 13180 Brighton Dam Road,
Clarksville Maryland.

restoration Montrose Wrote specifications, contract documents, executed all work on
the restoration and renovation of this circa 1830 wooden frame farm
house. Scope of work included: repair and rebuild stone foundation,
demolish all non historic interior and exterior alterations, repair
and replace rotted wooden structural members, all new, plumbing,
electric, HVAC, insulation and painting. Repair and replace
woodwork, trim, refinish all wooden floors, and plaster work. Acted
as General Contractor and Project Manager for all trades on this

farmhouse renovation/restoration, design for adaptive re-use as
youth home, Acted as General Contractor, and Project Manager for all
trades on this building project Springfield Hospital Cottage #9.
Wrote specifications, contract documents, executed all work on the
restoration and renovation of this circa 1880 wooden frame farm
house. Scope of work included: repair and rebuild stone foundation,
demolish all non historic interior and exterior alterations, repair
and replace rotted wooden structural members, all new plumbing,
electric, HVAC, insulation and painting. Repair and replace
woodwork, trim, repair floors, plaster work, install cabinets,
install shutters, etc.

Maryland. Acted as General Contractor, and Project Manager for all trades on
this building project, wrote specifications, contract documents,
executed all work on the restoration and renovation of this wooden
frame farm house. Scope of work included: repair and rebuild stone
foundation, demolish all non historic interior and exterior
alterations, repair and replace, windows, doors, rotted wooden
structural members, all new plumbing, electric, HVAC, insulation,
repair and replace trim, repair floors, plaster work, custom built
and installed cabinets, install shutters, and painting.
